As a solo performer my goal is to get people up and dancing, something I achieve by reading the crowd and tailoring what I play to what is getting them moving. I use a looper pedal to build beats and often perform medleys of songs interspersed with live mashups much like a DJ would do so as to keep the crowd on their feet without long breaks between songs.
